Risk assessment and planning are a large component of licensure and accreditation of treatment facilities throughout the US. Whether your facility is located in a known tornado area or in hurricane seasonal areas, each facility has areas of risk that are specific to their needs. However, wherever the facility is located, disaster planning is a necessity. Most states, as well as nationwide accreditation organizations such as The Joint Commission, CARF, and AHCA all require regular planned disaster drills.
Calming Waters Consulting, LLC provides a comprehensive review of disaster plans, re-writing to meet State and Federal guidelines as needed, and facilitating complete disaster drills as required by Joint Commission, CARF, and AHCA accreditations.
We will take your staff through a mock disaster, meeting all requirements of your annual disaster drill as determined by The Joint Commission Standards and exceeding all mandatory DCF regulations requirements. The drill(s) will follow pending natural and man-made disasters from the initial monitoring stage of a potential disaster, through the daily steps of preparation, and resulting in a comprehensive report of performance, needs assessment, suggestions for improvement, and plan modifications. Staff members will be involved in each step of the process, assisting them in honing in on their skills, correcting areas of need that require improvement, and ascertaining procedural changes necessary.
