Wanda F. Barbella,
LMHC, CAP, CPP, ICADC
Ms. Barbella obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2000 and her license in 2003. She continued her education and received the credential of Certified Addictions Professional in 2004 and continued on to obtain the credentials of Certified Prevention Professional and International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor soon thereafter. She has worked with dual-diagnosis issues throughout that time and has been both a primary therapist as well as Clinical Director during her career.
Currently, Ms. Barbella has a private practice working with addictions, eating disorders, and other co-occurring issues including relationship issues. Her specialties include trauma and grief/loss. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Supervisor for the State of Florida, she supervises Interns, teaching counseling techniques and assisting interns to hone their specific skills and talents. Since 2004, she has offered test coaching, throughout the United States, to assist mental health licensing candidates in passing the NCMHCE licensing examination. She teaches Certified Addiction Professional classes and teaches the 30-hour Certified Behavioral Health Technician Course for the State of Florida as well as facilitates trainings on all mandated Department of Children and Families, Joint Commission, and CARF required facility trainings. Wanda provides Licensure and Accreditation Consulting for new treatment centers, assisting them in obtaining licensure, Joint Commission accreditation, and CARF accreditation, writing policy and procedures, compliance, disaster drills, and building an ethical practice from hiring to chart auditing. In the corporate spectrum, she teaches classes on addictions in the workplace, effective team-building among the generations, and how to encompass Millennials in the workforce. She is on the Board of Directors for and is Vice-President of a Christian 501c3 non-profit charity entitled Living Parables of Central Florida, Inc.

Implementing positive change and integrity in the field of Substance Use and Mental Health through providing ethical guidance, training, and services to new and existing treatment facilities, clients, and to the new generation of therapists.
